Never too much fire
May 18th, 2008 at 09:32 am by Tsali Wasituna in UncategorizedOh yes, you can never have too much fire.
http://public.fotki.com/tsali/2008/bonfire/
My father came down to Burkesville with Norma and I to meet her parents. All went well. We burned a decently sized bonfire full of Cedar. In addition, my father had a chance to shoot an AK-47, and partake in the beauty that is the Undiscovered Country. After actually spending time in such desolate (1,200 people as of the 2000 census) farmland, good ole’ boy country, my father has determined that he may not actually like to live in an area where you can’t see your neighbor a mile away. Myself on the other hand, oh glorious primary source of randomness on this website, would very much like to live that way. Once a month trip to town to obtain goods, food et al, rest of the time spent on the farm with my wife, dogs, cats, wildlife and land. It’s all a matter of living simply and within ones means. I can do this, contrary to popular belief.
I am more at home in the words, on a farm, growing my own things, than I am driving to work four to five times a week listening to people go on about some worthless want, rather than an absolute necessity. It’s not that I don’t like technology and gadgets and human advancement, but more like there is an extreme concern over humanity’s inability to survive without it.
Do you know how to build a lean-to in a rainstorm and make it stable enough to stave off the winds and have it built in a proper direction for maximum protection, with only trees, branches, and brush laying around? No tools, just you and your bare hands, tennis shoes in a muddy forest. How are you going to obtain sustenance? Drinkable water? Do you even know what would happen to you if you ate only the meat from a rabbit that you lucked into catching, instead of eating everything from it; intestines, eyes, bone marrow? Protein poisoning is what you’ll get, rabbit meat is so lean that your body will begin absorbing itself to get other nutrients and fats that it needs, making you very ill and eventually collapsing and dieing, only a mere mile from humanity.
Maybe you should get together with some of your buddies, and go on a camping trip, and learn how to survive in the wild. Learn to canoe or kayak & how to properly set up camp. Do you know why you set up on a higher plain than a lower one? In case of rain, the lower camp will be more likely to flood than the higher one. I have known people who have died from camping on the river front because it was pretty, but while they were sleeping, a rain storm up the river, (which they ignored thinking the rain wouldn’t affect them) caused it to sweep their tents away. The children were saved, but their father drowned rescuing them.
So, long story short, look at the bonfire pictures and enjoy things burning.

I Worship his Shadow
May 12th, 2008 at 08:08 am by Tsali Wasituna in UncategorizedWe are the Brunnen-G and we were once were great,
And I must say to you it is not too late,
We may die, but we must fight, let us act this very night
Why should we lay down, and except this fate
We are the Brunnen-G, we’re waiting to die
We celebrate the death that will fall from the sky
We may die, but we must fight, let us fight this very night
We are the Brunnen-G, we’re waiting to die
We are the Brunnen-G, do we have no pride
We must stand and fight not commit suicide
Come with me and we will fight, turn them back this very night
We are the Brunnen-G, do we have no pride
We are the Brunnen-G, we’re waiting to die
We celebrate the death and will fall from the sky
It is not to late to fight, come with me this very night
We are the Brunnen-G, we’re waiting to die
Will you come with me and fight,
we will come with you and fight
We are the Brunnen-G, we’re waiting to die
We are the Brunnen-G, we deserve to die

IE Vs. Firefox & a death in the family
October 22nd, 2007 at 09:54 am by Tsali Wasituna in UncategorizedFirefox is not your friend, it is not faster nor more secure. It uses more resources than IE contrary to popular belief.
I know I have those “Download Firefox” buttons on here, but those are “sponsored” links.
Here is a good read for some of the truths about those commonly held Myths about FireFox
Now on to the sad news of the day, for those of you who read this site, you most likely know Andy Falin from the lead team at my employer… He passed away this morning. The following is the email a supervisor sent on to us:
“Team:
Many of us have either worked with or sat near Andy Falin from the lead team. Andy passed away this morning at his home. Andy was sick for the last few days and was having problems breathing this morning before he left for work. EMS did all they could but could not revive him.
I know many of you who were on my HSD team worked with Andy closely. We will have a grief counselor on site this week in HR. Brian, Tom, Schaun, and I are here for anyone who wants to speak as well.
Please keep Andy and his family in your thoughts tonight. I’m sorry I have to do this through email.”

Honestly I don’t have anything to say, I never really knew him, I had okay leadchats with him, but I never knew what he looked like or what he was all about. As much as it may make me seem like a horrible person, I don’t have any sympathy or empathy for him or his family because I was not personally involved with them in any way. I do send my condolences though because I know how it is to lose a loved one and I wish only the best for those closest to him.
I have a new supervisor again, Amy. She was my supervisor before Carlos, who was my super before my current one, Tom. I had Tom for a supervisor for only 1 week.

Tattoo Charlie 1951-2007
September 15th, 2007 at 09:13 am by Tsali Wasituna in UncategorizedThe world is just a little bit sadder today.
Tattoo Charlie dies at age 56 from a “Sudden Illness.” More information is also available on Fox 41′s site as well. Visitation will be held at Owen Funeral Home on Dixie Highway today and tomorrow.
I’ve met the man a couple times in my life, and he was always a happy and jolly man, the perfect Santa Claus to say the least. In his passing there is a sadness as he was one of the biggest donors to various causes in the area, and he helped to start the Toys for Tots program.
My father got a tattoo from one of his main tattooists at the Berry Blvd location for fathers day several years ago. I myself got a labret piercing done from Tattoo Charlies over on the Preston Highway location by Outer Loop.
One of the most intriguing things about Tattoo Charlie’s shops that always stood out to me is how clean they are, and their commitment to consistency, cleanliness, and values. Sure you may have been angry at them for not tattooing that skull on the back of your neck, but when that other place did your chances for career advancement dropped about 97%. Charlie Wheeler knew this, he had standards that kept him going and very well respected in the region. Not only with lovers of tattoo’s, but also those who would never get one but knew if their son or daughter did then Charlie’s was the place to go.
Charlie will live on, while you wait.

Labor Day
September 3rd, 2007 at 09:49 am by Tsali Wasituna in UncategorizedIt’s labor day people, stop calling me! There is no reason for you to be complaining to me about not being able to get online. Go out, visit friends, talk with neighbors, hire a hitman to take out your ex.
Come on, something, anything other than calling me to complain about it being down and us not being able to get to you on this holiday, especially if your windows 98 machine is only listing PPP and AOL Dialup Adaptors, and not an ethernet connection.
Yes I know that was a run-on sentence, so shutup! >:O
Oh, death btw, is totally awesome-o.
