Here I am in the parking lot at work, two hours early. Why you might ask, well it’s simply because now I must run all errands before my shift starts.

Previously I worked from 6 AM to 3 PM, now I’m working 1:30 PM – 10:30 PM. Before I could do almost anything I needed as soon as I was off with no worries of running out of time, but since most things in this town shutdown at 9 PM or earlier my routine has been greatly interupted. At 10 am I had to go to bank, go to gas station go to rental office one last time and then on to grab breakfast. With everything being all over various point of the Metro, I had no choice but to rush to each location for fear of traffic and delays, the result, I’m at work at 11:25 am, 2 hours and 5 minutes prior to my new start time.

So this I charge to you, my home, my love, the metro city of Louisville/Jefferson County, work to incorporate retailers to remain open until midnight or later at least 6 days a week. I may want to read a new book at night that I heard about that day, I may want a smoothie to at 1 am to calm my thoughts and nerves after work. Maybe a couple rounds of bowling to wind down until 3 am?

Just look at the number of 24 hour factories/plants/major employers there are here in the ‘Ville, why no love for those of us who are not your standard nine-to-fivers?

Sincerly, el Jaime, los King de Everything.

Does anyone have a boat I can borrow today? I’m suppose to geohash to a point in the Ohio river, and I don’t really feel like swimming in that gunk.

Okay, seriously, I know there are more iPhone users out there in the Kentucky area, why hvent you joined Zintin yet? We need more people around here, I’m getting bored with the same old crap all the time. The green dot is someone online, the yellows are offline, and I’m the only one posting on the local city boards.

And a cat picture for good measure.

On the Tuesday, November 6th ballot in Jefferson County Kentucky, there will be a choice to increase the occupational wage 2.0% for those who work (not live) in Jefferson County, to “Save” the libraries. While this may not seem like much of an increase for some people, you can think of it this way: For every $100 earned, you’ll pay $2.00 additional in taxes. A paycheck of $800 will loose an additional $16, $1,000 will loose $20, and so on. In addition to this, for every $1,000 earned there is an increase of 2.0% in the tax up to a certain (Rich East end) level.

Mayor for life is hiding something though… How is Louisville one of the highest taxed cities, but yet we don’t have any of the benefits of a big city, like a subway system, a train system, universal walking/riding trail. Instead we have Mayor for life using “Eminent Domain” to usurp lands from people to build strip malls and raising taxes to fund the library system. What happened to the money that was allocated for the libraries before Jerry? Matter of fact, where is a lot of the money we’re paying now going to? I’m not seeing many improvements in our streets, our police force, our parks system or education.

Just like I myself need to learn to properly use my income more efficiently, our fair Metro government needs to learn to use the tax they’re already collecting properly and correctly instead of slipping a few hundred thousand dollars into their greedy, grimy drug lined pockets.

While I rarely talk politics, since it is a strong personal belief with oneself, this is something I feel I needed to speak out about. I am voting no on the tax increase to save the libraries as that’s something that our metro council should already be doing without any additional effort from me. I never even use the library system any more, any day I have off, the library is closed. Not that I don’t believe in the library system, but there are better ways to fund it, shit, I’m already paying out nearly 30% of my paycheck into taxes by both living and working in Jefferson County.

Ps. Norma and I were married on Wednesday, October 31st 2007.

I figured I’d actually get around to posting this now lol, started it the day after the show but forgot to post it as Blogger was having issues that day.

Fucking awesome!

that is all I can say about this performance.

Dweezil Zappa playing his dad’s music, with the help of some old friends, including the guitar GOD Steve Vai! Unfuckingbelievable! This took place on Wednesday, 12/13/2006.

This, by far, was the best concert experience and show I’ve ever had the pleasure of attending, and Dweezil has hopes of making this a yearly thing, I can’t wait. Even if they don’t hit my hometown next year, I will travel to see this show, every time, it’s that damn good.

While I’m at it, I highly recomend everyone go out and pick up any Dweezil Zappa or Frank Zappa or Steve Vai albums that they can get their hands on. Not that anyone reads this ‘ere “Blog” (God, I hate that term) but hey, it’s worth a try, support and promote those that you love and cherish, and the phenomenon will only grow stronger.

All for now, ciao!
